  • Christ Church Cathedral is the Episcopal Seat of The Orthodox Anglican Church. The Church is committed to the Biblical world view contained in the Holy Scriptures, confessed in the three ancient creeds of the Church (the Apostles', Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds), defined by the Thirty-nine Articles of Religion, experienced in the Sacraments, and practiced through the use of orthodox editions of the Book of Common Prayer. The Orthodox Anglican Church is a constituent member of the international Orthodox Anglican Communion. The Cathedral is also the home of The Cathedral Priory of St Stephen the Protomartyr, a religious Order of men and women dedicated to spiritual formation and mission within The Orthodox Anglican Church.

We have returned to the Apostles and old Catholic fathers. We have planted no new religion, but only have preserved the old that was undoubtedly founded and used by the Apostles of Christ and other holy Fathers of the Primitive Church....

--Bishop John Jewel, Apologia Ecclesiae Anglicanae, 1562
